We’re so proud of our YLA students for achieving outstanding results at the World Scholar’s Cup (WSC) Bangkok Regional Round 2025! Their hard work, confidence, and dedication truly shone throughout the events.
With almost 600 competitors, we have received 250 awards this tournament, walking away with 120 gold medals, 114 silver medals, 16 trophies, and 2 showcase debaters! Congratulations to all our young leaders! Highlights of our top achievers include…
Win, AJ, Wit (KPIS and ICS) – 1st Debate, 27 awards + 2 team trophies combined!
Ai (WCIB) – 9 gold + 1 Trophy – The highest gold count of any student!
Sofia (PAIS) – 1st Overall scholar, Senior champion + Debate Showcase Judge.
Xilene (Shrewsberry Riverside) – Showcase Debater, nominated by judges as a Best Speaker!
Gem (Amnuay Silpa) – 10 Medals, dominated with 7 Golds + 3 Silvers.
Tara, Sand, Noey (WCIB) – 1st overall, 1st place champion of the young category!

What is the World Scholar’s Cup (WSC)?
The World Scholar’s Cup (WSC) is an international academic team competition that promotes critical thinking, collaboration, debate, and writing across subjects like history, science, and literature. Students begin at Regional Rounds, where teams compete locally and can qualify for the next stage. Successful teams advance to Global Rounds, large international events that bring together students from many countries for higher-level competition and cultural exchange. Top performers at Globals are invited to the Tournament of Champions (ToC), the final round held at Yale University, which combines intense academic challenges with a unique university-campus experience.
