For parents looking to register their child for the GLOBAL Round of the World Scholar’s Cup (WSC) held at Aksra Theatre and/or Siam Pic Ganesha on August 28th-Sept 2nd, 2026, please complete one of the forms below. YLA will register on your behalf and serve as your coodinator and fulfill the judge requirement.

Frequently Asked

Who will Supervise my child?

During the competition, YLA coaches and staff will be on site to coordinate and assist all students with their needs or emergencies. During registration you will be asked to join a Parent Line group that will keep you informed of important updates and schedule changes. A male and female YLA staff will stay overnight in the hotel to provide supervision and care for students, and ensure curfew protocols are maintained to ensure safety.

+ What are the locations?

The opening ceremony for both divisions will be organized at the Aksra theater at the King Power Complex. Buses for the Scavenger Hunt and debate school (Denla British school) will depart from the Pullman Hotel, King Power Complex and return to the same location. The venue for the Scholar’s Bowl, Debate Showcase, Scholar’s Show and the Awards Ceremony will be the Siam Pic Ganesha Theater

The venue for the Cultural Fair will be the Royal Paragon Hall in Siam Paragon Mall and the venue for the Scholar’s Ball will be the Pullman Hotel, King Power Complex.

+ What meals are provided?

In both options, lunch (buffet and boxed), are provided on days of the event, but packing snacks is encouraged if your child needs it. Snacks are provided during the Scholar’s Ball by the orgnaizers, but not the Cultural fair. (although there are plenty of traditional snacks offered by the various stalls)

If you choose the hotel option, a buffet breakfast is provided on top of these lunches (on every morning that we are in the hotel) but dinner is not included. Instead, orders are arranged via delivery services amongst their friends in the evening to have dinner delivered and enjoyed together. 

+ What to Bring?

Please bring a pen for the Scholar’s Challenge and Collaborative Writing, and blank paper for taking notes in Team Debate. Bring a water bottle to refill throughout the day and extra snacks if you tend to get hungry or want to feed a friend who tends to get hungry. You may bring devices with you on other days, but you won’t have that many chances to use them.

+ What to Wear?

There will; be a lot of photos taken, we recommend looking your best for the debates and for the awards ceremony. Professional attire and school uniforms are always appropriate. Please prepare to wear your school Uniform and/or blazers for both days.

+ Can students use devices?

Devices and other outside materials are now not permitted at any point during Team Debate, Collaborative Writing, the Scholar’s Challenge, or the Scholar’s Bowl. However it is advised that your child brings a device for communication and safety purposes throughout the day.
