This is what YLA is all about.

Here’s to the next stage,  and even greater achievements ahead 🚀

🎤 DEBATE SHOWCASE

One of the most prestigious moments of the World Scholar’s Cup is the Debate Showcase, where only the top 8 debaters across both Junior and Senior divisions are selected to compete.

This year, we were incredibly proud to see 4 YLA students make it there!

Representing the Affirmative side:
Xilene Kiatcherdsaengsuk
Lincoln Sriwat

Representing the Negative side:
Dusita Rungananchai
Phattaranan Hayioumart

Competing in the Debate Showcase is a huge accomplishment; it means these students were recognized among the very best speakers of the entire tournament, across all schools and both divisions.

The Negative side emerged as the winning team, with Dusita and Phattaranan delivering a standout performance on stage. 👏

Congrats to all 4 students!

A truly proud moment for YLA. 💙

What is the World Scholar’s Cup (WSC)?

The World Scholar’s Cup (WSC) is an international academic team competition that promotes critical thinking, collaboration, debate, and writing across subjects like history, science, and literature. Students begin at Regional Rounds, where teams compete locally and can qualify for the next stage. Successful teams advance to Global Rounds, large international events that bring together students from many countries for higher-level competition and cultural exchange. Top performers at Globals are invited to the Tournament of Champions (ToC), the final round held at Yale University, which combines intense academic challenges with a unique university-campus experience.
